HOW TO INSTALL SMART LOCKS 
Smart technology is making our lives easier, from our cars to our houses. A smart door lock can eliminate the need to carry keys entirely. The most recent autos do not require a key to operate. Smart locks work in a similar way, allowing you to lock and unlock a door with a simple tap of your fingers or a voice command. Some smart door locks also allow you to unlock or lock your door remotely, allowing you to do so from anywhere. However, before you can put the smart device to any use, you’ll need to know how to install a smart lock on your door.       
Smart lock installation is one of the simplest DIY tasks ever. It can be used in place of a regular locking device. It’s as easy as removing a few screws, swapping out the devices, and reinstalling the screws to keep the lock in place. We’ll walk you through the fundamental steps you’ll need to take.

           Steps for Installing a Smart Door Lock

It’s not difficult to replace a regular door lock with a smart one. It takes only five steps to complete. It’s straightforward, but it’s also a fun DIY project that won’t take long to complete. The five stages for putting a smart lock on a door are as follows.
Step 1:Disconnect the existing deadbolt:

This step only requires the use of a screwdriver. You could use a drill if you’re used to using power tools. Remove the two screws on the back of the deadbolt with your preferred tool. On the inside of the door, there are two screws. Take the deadbolt apart after you’ve removed these two screws. Remove the real deadbolt from the door after that. To do so, you may need to remove two screws from the door inside the edge plate.
Step 2: Install the New Latch: Replace the old latch with the new one. Take your new smart lock’s components out of the packaging. Then, adjust the latch so that the “up” position is at the top. Adjust the latch so that it is the same length as the hole in the door. Slide the new latch into place on the door. There should be a hole in the center of the latch. Insert a screwdriver into the hole and turn it to ensure that the latch fully extends and retracts. After it is in the proper position, secure it with the two small screws that came with the deadbolt.
Step 3: Install the Smart Lock:

Place the smart lock inside the door hole and through the latch. Make sure the wires are slid under the latch. Install the bracket on the inside of the door. Thread the wires through the bracket’s corresponding holes.
Step 4: Install the corresponding app on your phone or computer to configure your new smart lock. If your lock requires a keycode, enter the default code. The deadbolt should initiate an automatic setup procedure. When it’s finished, close the door and test the lock. If the bolt does not move freely when locking and unlocking the door, it may need to be adjusted slightly.
Step 5: Setup the Smart Device:

Install the corresponding app on your phone or computer to configure your new smart lock. If your lock requires a keycode, enter the default code. The deadbolt should initiate an automatic setup procedure. When it’s finished, close the door and test the lock. If the bolt does not move freely when locking and unlocking the door, it may need to be adjusted slightly.
